JAPAN CAMPAIGN
Last month, in the middle of Tokyo’s scorching summer, we braved the heat and shot our first campaign in one of our favourite cities.
Launching in Japan has been a dream for the brand and so was shooting in Tokyo.
Tokyo is a city that understands balancing the hustle of the city with quiet moments in its parks, cafes, temples and homes. For this shoot, we aimed to capture those quiet moments.
Together with our team - Ben as our photographer, Aya as our director, Alicia as our assistant and models Maiki, Ire and Iru, we spent the first day of shooting at a studio in Shibuya.
Despite being in one of the cities most busy areas, we enjoyed a quiet day with a view of a tree lined street below.
Day one started with the team getting to know each other. We unpacked the Beni Beds together and even enjoying making origami. We believe a good team on set is a team thats gotten to know each other so we did exactly that.
We then got shooting - capturing Ire and Iru playing and enjoying the Beni Beds with Maiki. We were excited to capture some fun shots and to capture the mood in that room. Fun but relaxed.
By the end of the first day Ire and Iru protested to their Mum that they didn’t want to leave - both us, and importantly, the Beni Beds. We reassured them we would see them again tomorrow and they could play and lounge on the Beni Beds again. They left waving goodbye and yelling out see you tomorrow. A successful first day of shooting.

先月の猛暑の最中、私たちは暑さに負けず、初めての東京で初のキャンペーン撮影を行いました。
ブランドにとって長年の夢である日本でのローンチ。また、念願の東京での撮影。
東京は、都会のエネルギーと、公園やカフェ、寺院、そして家庭での静けさのバランスを心得ている街です。今回の撮影では、東京の静かなひとときを捉えることを目指しました。
フォトグラファーのベン、ディレクターの綾、アシスタントのアリシア、そしてモデルのマイキ、イレ、イルと共に、撮影初日は渋谷のスタジオで過ごしました。
都内で最も賑やかなエリアに位置しながらも、通りには木々が立ち並ぶ、涼しげな景色を楽しみながら、穏やかな一日を満喫しました。
初日はまず、チームメンバー同士、親睦を深めることから始まりました。みんなでBENI ベッドを一緒に開封したり、折り紙を楽しんだり。撮影現場でのより良いチームワークのためには、メンバー同士が互いをよく知ることが大切だと考えています。
撮影では、マイキと一緒にBENIベッドで遊んだり、くつろいだりするイレとイルの姿をカメラに収めていきました。撮影全体の雰囲気やチームの空気感を捉え、リラックスしながら撮影を楽しみました。
初日の終わり、イレとイルが「帰りたくない！」と母親に伝える場面も。私たちと、そして何よりもBENI ベッドが気に入った様子でした。明日また会えること、BENI ベッドでまた遊んだりくつろいだりできることを伝えると、二人は「また明日！」と元気に手を振って帰っていきました。こうして、撮影初日は大成功に終わりました。
